I really like to support local entrepreneurs, but I'd like to see more from this place. Ordered nachos and they came out cold. Didn't say anything since we were starving. Cheese wasn't evenly dispersed - chips were super greasy. Salsa was chipotle flavored - not a fan. Also tried the vegi burger - the owner's own recipe of grain-packed protein patty. Well, the patty was AWESOME, but it was SOOOOO thin, and put in between two pieces of SUPER thick nasty white bread.... for healthier options you gotta think about the whole dish... otherwise what's the point? Served with fries, which were also on the cooler side. Service was not up to par. Waitress forgot numerous things and we had to go to bar to order drinks at one point....

Former biker bar goes to finishing school! Food a cut above what you might expect, prices reasonable Good selection of beers on tap Downside: woefully understaffed for a weekend evening.

Wow, I really didn't expect such a good meal in the mountains. Excellent locally grown food. Burger was one of the best I've had. Creative and fresh toppings. Fries were good too. A nice selection of craft beer. The service was very friendly and efficient. The place has cleaned up nice. Large patio with plenty of seating. It's worth a trip to the mountains for great food in a mountain atmosphere. An easy drive from Denver.

Nice to see this place open at the location that used to be Kermit's. We stopped in for burgers and they were awesome. I mean seriously. You can order a beginner, intermediate, or advanced. The higher you go the more patties are on it. The beginner is 1/3 pound, the advanced is a full pound. I had the Blackhawk, which had grilled onions and great blue cheese - served on a brioche roll. it was outstanding. The place has been completely redone inside and is very clean. Huge outdoor patio with covered areas in case of rain. So far, so good - Will definitely be back.....

I stopped in for a burger and a drink. I had the avalanche burger, which is like a mushroom swiss. The burger itself was hot and juicy, the toppings were flavorful and to top it all off the bun was amazingly buttery and fluffy. My drink was refreshing as well...some kind of fruity margarita thing. I can see myself coming back here after a long day on the mountain for a really great burger.

Stopped by after it's been updated, for the first time. Its awesome! We had smoked spicy green chill which was amazing. Say hit to Matt and his crew, they have done a great job on the interior as well as the food! I highly recommend stopping by for some food or a cocktail on the way up or down from the slopes.

Worth a visit if you're driving by. Had a burger and sweet potato tots. Burger was good, sweet potato tater tots were really good. Burger could have been a little juicier and maybe a bit more seasoned. Bun was nice and fluffy, glistening with butter. I expected a larger portion of tots considering the upcharge. Overall, food was a tad on the pricey side. Apart from all of that, I had a couple other issues with the place. There was a dog in the dining room. I don't particularly care, but someone will. But, quite honestly, if I wanted a dog watching me eat, I'd stay home. Next, the default genre of music on the jukebox is country, which is fine mixed in with other genres, but not song after song and not so loud. I had to throw a couple dollars in the jukebox just so I could eat. After my songs played, the music went right back to country. Maybe I'll just have to work jukebox fare out of my food budget. Otherwise, the place has a quaint and rustic feel with ski memorabilia hanging on the walls. I'll go back and try it again. Hopefully it continues to improve.

Stopped in here for lunch on a weekday drive from the high country to DIA. Awesome homemade chips to go with the homemade guac. Burgers were excellent, and the hand-cut fries were a nice touch. The green chile quesadilla was quite good, but a bit heavy. Overall, our entire group was happy we stopped here.

I have a bladder condition called interstitial cystitis. This means that at any given moment without rhyme or reason my bladder feels like it has a hot poker stuck in it and I have to go...NOW. Unfortunately this happened a few miles before this place and out of desperation I stopped there. I walked toward the restroom and the owner (?) said I had to buy something to use it. I said. I would on my way out as I was in pain and needed to get in there quick and he literally stood in front of the door and wouldn't let me in while virtually yelling that I had to buy something now. I said I had an infection for lack of a better way to describe it but he made some comment about me trying to pull one on him like the previous 300 people that day. I dug in my purse and gave him a buck for a granola bar...the restroom user food choice. I have never been treated so badly over a bladder issue and if he was the owner...WOW. It was humiliating to say the least. And I will never step foot in a place like that ever again.

Stopped off here on the way to Rocky Mountain National park. Pure happenstance, as it just happened to be where our rental car decided to break down. Can't speak to the food, as we just ducked in to escape the 90 F heat, grab some drinks, while we wait two hours for a replacement car. But a surprisingly pleasant bar atmosphere. Family friendly biker bar. Food smells and looks good. Friendly staff. Decent selection of beer. Not a bad spot to wait.

Best Bloody Mary in CO! Best green chili in CO. Worth the 45 min drive! There are many gluten free options. Looking forward to coming back in the summer for live music on the patio. The links are great. Fries were perfect.

Stopped by on the recommendation of a good friend and man am I thankful! Great food and not your everyday run of the mill beers on tap!! I am a big green chili fan and this is the best I have had (smothered a burger with it- YUM)! My son had the Pepper Burger and he raved about it. We spent our afternoon on the huge deck soaking up the sun and listening to live music while drinking the house drink- A Bloody 14er- an amazing bloody mary served with a chorizo slider on top! The staff was excellent, actually took time to really hear how our day was! I am glad I now have a new favorite restaurant not far from home but even if I lived down the hill I would make the trek without a thought! Plan on stopping in- this should be the new Apres ski spot- just off I-70- perfect!! Cheers!!

Great surprise. Recently read a hood article about Tribe at 244 and they were right. Great good, awesome green chili and yummy truffle fries. Great selection of beers on tap and friendly service by the owner himself. We will go back!

Amazing place just tucked off the highway. The restaurant is Colorado minded with local brews, local meats and friendly local staff. You must try the 14eener Bloody Mary as it comes with a slider and all the fixings! Pretty unique. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and to listen to some live music on their great patio. We had the motherload and chicken/pheasant dog! Two great dogs. Then we had to try the loaded bake potato ice cream dessert. It is a carefully disguised ice cream that looks like a potato! Great place, I highly recommend you check it out!

Hadn't been to this location in years. What a nice job the new owners have done to freshen up this landmark! The food and the atmosphere were great. Our group had everything from beginner to advanced burgers, sweet potato tots, to the elk dog. I had the smoked salmon and mixed green salad and it was delicious. The salmon had been smoked on the premises that day and it was fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are coming from or going to the mountains or want to get out of the city for a nice meal.

  • Cindy O.

This place was great for a quick freshly prepared lunch, right off the highway. The sausage sampler unique and yummy. Waitress very nice. The only downside was it was a bit dusty eating outside because there is some type of road construction going on near by.

  • Lisa M.

We were a bit worried when we pulled into the parking lot during a snowstorm on our way back from Vail to Denver but after ordering their signature Bloody Mary (a meal in itself) and Homewrecker sausage wrapped in bacon and smothered in two kinds of chili we were hooked. A definite worthy stop on the way back from high country. And only $5 for their yummy jalapeño infused tequila drink.

Beware of this place! We were faced with RACISM and DISCRIMINATION from the moment we walked in. We were planning to eat here since I70 was at a standstill. I went into the restroom first, while my boyfriend waited for me. An employee actually approached my boyfriend with hostility about being there. He asked what business we had being there and even began to get in his face. He took it to the level of even pushing him in the chest as if he wanted to start a fight. As soon as I got out of the restroom, we were out of there. I'm very glad we did not waste any money here. I will be sure to tell everyone I know, never to go here. For the record, we are Hispanic and only saw Caucasian customers here.

Loved the old dive - Kermit's - particularly on a winter snow-packed trip - an oasis - and now they've updated place and upscaled food - nice people, great green chile - just expect to wait a little bit, get a drink, enjoy it and don't be in a hurry - a hide-away gem. Watch for it, easy to go flying by and then it's difficult to come back to it easily -

  • Samantha F.

Night and day difference from its previous incarnation...we used to stop here for a beer and appetizer on the way back from riding ATVs when it was a dive. It was convenient and if we were dirty, it didn't matter. Now, it still has the perks of the outdoor patio, and plenty of parking for a big truck and trailer, but the food is now Outstanding, and it's very clean inside. We had the tamales, salsa, elk sausage, chili and cold beers on tap...the folks who run it now clearly know what they're doing. It's not lightning fast, but when someone's actually cooking, it's worth the wait. Recommended!

  • Neeks C.

My family is very passionate about good food and great atmosphere and this place fits that description perfectly. Best green chili I've ever had- and the burger with the truffle fries was delicious. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

    (5)
  • Ben C.

I've been coming to this place for years. The food is really something now. I had the tamales and I don't think I've ever had better ones. I got one of each type and had them smothered. The green chili is killer. I can't wait to return to try the breakfast burrito.

  • Mike M.

Stopped off at the Tributary for a drink on our way up camping. Didn't try the food just had a beer and some bloodys out on their patio. Amazing view of the mountains, right across the street from the river. The Bloody Marys were spicy and fantastic, they definitely make their own mix. The place was a little dirty but the bartender helped us out right away.

  • Angela B.

The food was tasty but I would never revisit this place. Upon arrival we were told they were out of wings. A group of friends/co-workers arrived well after we ordered our food and the group got all of their food, including wings before we got our order. And we still waited another 20 minutes for a burger and cheese quesadilla.

Rude, disrespectful staff member, working the bar on 6/20/15 around 1pm. We sat out on the patio, and there was a dark brown dog tied up by the open back gate (so it could also walk into the patio area) was really wanting attention. When it wasn't getting attention, it sat there barking and whining NON STOP. My husband, politely told the young lady behind the bar, about the dog's loud barking. As my husband walked away, the girl said "The dog won't stop barking, but you can stop breathing." Somebody did come and put the dog in a small shed...I sure hope it wasn't hot in the shed. When we go to leave, I went in to tell the girl behind the bar, (same girl) that we were leaving, and she could move the dog back, if she wanted. Well, she completely avoided us. (I was 1 of 3 customers at the bar) She takes the the person's request that came up after me. Oh, and that customer was returning her food, because her bun had mold all over it. This place has been a staple in our motorcycle rides...because of the rudeness of that staff member, there are now 10+ people, that will no longer give our money to this venue. At least the beer was cold.

  • Connie E.

Just left and it was a terrible experience! And that's saying it mildly. First the guy at the door was rude and not helpful. We finally got a table and ordered. We were a group of 4 and we ordered the following: hamburger very rare and it was well done, Caesar salad with chicken and it had 3 small strips of chicken and not much dressing, a basket of fries that were cold, and quesadillas which were actually good. We had to beg for the check 4 times. The place was dirty, with a dog running between our feet! Restrooms smell bad.

  • D H.

This was lunch on a Thursday. One guy cooking and serving so if you're in a hurry might be a problem but the green chili was good and the salsa was very tasty. It was worth the wait.

I've stopped by 2 times now during the stated business hours to find the building locked with no one there. Maybe they have good food but I'm not wasting my time a third time to find out.

THE best burgers hands down! This is our must stop on the way home from skiing for the most delicious hamburgers and green chili or for a breakfast burrito on your way up! Do yourself a favor and get off I-70 at exit 244.

Family owned and operated which is my favorite! Super friendly service and delicious, fresh food. Great burgers and green chile. Nice patio. Stop by on your way up or down the mountain - you won't be disappointed

Six of my friends and I stopped in for a drink around noon on Sat June 20. There were 2 lines of 8 people lined up at the bar so it took quite a while to get drinks. I was 5th in line and I waited for 11 minutes. There didn't seem to be any sense of urgency with the bartenders. In my experience as a bar manager it should only take about 30 seconds per drink. Granted when I got the drinks the draft was cold and the mixed drink was poured correctly. We went out to the patio to enjoy the mountain air. There were about 15-20 other people on the patio enjoying themselves as well. A dog on a leash came in from behind the patio and was restricted from entering farther. In an effort to get some type of attention the dog began howling and whimpering to an annoying level. Other guest began leaving as the whimpering and howling was to a level that made casual conversation unable to be continued. (There was no band) I went inside to inform the staff and did so politely. I asked them if there was anything that could be done as the animal was being disruptive. And I understand that animals need attention and no one was giving it what it deserved. A staff member came out and put the dog in a shed. I didn't appreciate the comment made about me by the bartender. She told a friend of mine that, "The dog won't stop barking but you can stop breathing." Hopefully she changes her attitude and I mainly hope that the dog is well taken care of and not tied up or put in a shed. Cheers.

We stopped in a couple weeks ago and had dinner the food was not that bad nothin the rave about. Cost about $50 for me the wife and our boy and we didn't even have beers! Then I stop in today with my kid so he could go pee and they made me buy something for him to use the restroom. Yep lost my business!

Try the Green Chile, one of the best recipes I have ever had the pleasure of trying, and that's saying a lot. Lot's of great craft beer too. I will definitely be back for more!

  • Andrea T.

Pleasantly surprised by this great little mountain tavern. Local beer on tap and one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had. The 14er Bloody Mary is almost a meal by itself. It comes with a celery stalk and a skewer with a pork slider, pickles, a small pickled pepper, a green olive, a jalepeno slice, a piece of bacon and shrimp. I wasn't very hungry after all of that, so I had a bite of my husbands Pepper Burger and we split his order of wonderful truffle fries. Every thing was fresh and flavorful. My teenage son ordered the Black and Blue Burger with sweet potato fries. He said it was perfect and he would like to come back again. Sounds good to me.

if you see this place... save your money and keep driving past. i cant believe the review from past months. where did they eat; not where i just did!! it took 45 minutes to get a dried up burger and that was sitting at the bar. The homewrecker they suggested had both red and green chile, what another disappointment. Both beers i tried were flat as well.

I used to live in CO, and was back in the Denver area on a Biz Trip and wanted to go to Kermits for a bite. I was a littler nervous when I saw the name had changed, but turns out it is the original owners Son who now runs the place. The place has the same feel, but cleaned up a little bit. I tried the house specialty, the Green Chili. I was wildly impressed. It was spicy without being painful and unbelievably flavorful. If I lived within 50 miles of this place I would be a regular for the Chili. The new owner, the son of the original, is a really nice guy and if word gets out about this chili, he is going to have to expand his restaurant.

I'm pretty stingy w 5* but the Trin deserves it. Great food, beer and service. You gotta try the green chile or better yet tamales smothered in green chile. This place should be on Guys 3Ds.

This place was awesome! The food was AMAZING! The staff was really friendly! It's definitely that "hole in the wall" kind of place the scenery around it was beautiful! I would call ahead if it's during the week bc we got there around 8 and they were getting ready to close but we're still willing to serve! It was an awesome experience!!

  • Molly G.

This place was awful. Just awful. I-70 was jammed so we stopped there for lunch on the way to Georgetown and the whole experience just sucked. By all means, though, if you want to sit yourself down at a filthy table because no one ever comes to seat you, wait over 30 minutes for your food, watch the waitress smoke a cigarette outside and then come in and handle food plates without ever washing her nicotine-laden fingers, have your kids' food accidentally given to another table so that they look at you with sad, hungry eyes causing you to shove your food into their mouths to avoid a fallout, never have the server apologize for the food delay or check on you, and eat tiny, charred hockey pucks on semi-decent buns and cold fries, then go to The Tributary.

The service was great and tried elk for the first time. The restaurant caters to an all American crowd and is almost like a sports bar

Delicious! Shared the link sampler of Elk, Buffalo, jackalope and pheasant. Wow. Also shared the Buffalo burger and truffle fries. Amazing. It's a little of the beaten path but well worth it.

A fun biker bar off the beaten path. Great selection of beer on tap and very decent, not what you'd expect, bar food. The bloody Mary's are a grandiose treat to partake.

Starving after my flight and over and hour of driving into the Colorado mountains, I pulled off at a random exit and drove up to the first eatery I could find. Luckily it was this one. At first it seemed like an imposing biker bar, the kind where Jax Teller would be doing a meet with the Mayans culminating in betrayal and a shootout, but it turned out to be a cool hangout with really great food and beer. The bikers "gang" I did see turned out to be on a benefit ride for an autism charity. Anyhoot, inside there was a honky-tonk kind of Western barroom and outside there's a beer-garden patio with picnic tables. On Saturday afternoon, there were only a few other people besides the bike gang, who were now doing some sort of scavenger hunt involving blindfolds and sacks of balls hung from their crotch. The food was great--let me just say that you have to get the green pork chili--it is a five start dish. I've not had a better chili in my life. Going all out, I got mine as a side to the "small" bison burger, but I would advise you to get a larger portion. Highly recommended stop if you're in the area.

I love quiet unassuming places that serve up crazy good flavors. When you drive west on I-70 it is easy to blow right past this place. And that is clearly a mistake I've been making for years. They tout the best green chili and they are not kidding. The bowl of green chili I had was so tasty and hit all the right spicy, savory pork notes one would expect from a bowl of green chili. The hubs and our friend ordered the spicy elk sausage that was smothered in green chili, on a bun topped with a whole bunch of cheese. I would order that the next time without question. The side of fries were perfectly cooked with the balance of crispy outside and creamy inside just right. Service was fast and friendly which made the whole experience worth repeating.

As someone who never knew what green chile was until I moved to CO 3.5 years ago - getting used to smothering everything in green chile is taking some time but I'm getting there! On that note, when I got a weird look when I said I didn't want my burger smothered in green chile - I quickly understood when I found out they have "the best green chile in Denver" and wasn't let down when I tried it (with the green chile inside). I'm definitely looking forward to trying a smothered burger next time!

Stopped in to the Trib on my way to see the Rockies for the first time in 25 years. The Dead were playin and they had PBR. It was a gift from the great spirit. Austin was bartendin and the service and food was killer! Great place if you don't like a thousand TV's and screaming kids like me! Didn't see a Bighorn out back but they're up there wishin they had thumbs to hold a beer can regularly from what they told me. 5 stars all the way!

This is a must stop!! Don't let the exterior fool you, their food and service is top notch. The big sign touting their chili should be even bigger because it's amazing. We started with the chips and salsa and were pleasantly surprised to see that they were fresh made chips and yummy salsa. Two in our group had burgers that were juicy and seasoned to perfection. If you like spicy sausage and chili then get the homewrecker. Even the kids quesadilla was tasty. If you can't tell, we really liked this establishment. TRY IT!!

  • Sarah V.

We stopped in here to let my kid use the restroom, which you cannot do without a purchase (which makes sense because the owner has to pay to have the tank cleaned out and all that) so my hubby grabbed something. He liked it so much that we stopped in again on our way home. I got the fries and green chili and it was delicious, although there were too many onions for my liking. Everything is homemade and fresh. The outside patio was gorgeous! We met the owner, he is a super friendly guy, and has a great story of how he came to own this restaurant. What an amazing adventure! Cute place, good food, nice people.

Had a great time here just passing through(a lot of passerbys here) food was hyperlocal bar food I had the elk sausage plate and I was in heaven. Riley and Austin ruled the place with a friendly demeanor and I highly recommend to any weary travelers or locals for a drink and a meal

Are you looking for a spot with a bloody mary that will knock your socks off? Look no further, you've found it! We stopped here after an epic whitewater rafting trip because of the excellent reviews on Yelp. Try the Bloody 14er. They make it with their house made bloody mary mix, topped with a chorizo slider, shrimp, bacon, and a veggie skewer...freakin awesome!

  • Michael S.

I've driven by this building for 20 years and I've never stopped. A group of us decided to give it a try, especially after hearing about the Bloody Mary with shrimp and a slider. I'm glad we stopped. Good beer selection and a very good burger. Very impressed. And it beats the now over-priced Tommyknocker burger. Skip the truffle fries though, not worth it. Definitely worth a visit!

Honestly it's a really nice mom and pop pit stop. Their green chili is really good and they incorporate it into quite a few of their entrées, and the bar keep is good company and very friendly. It the type of place where starting up conversations with strangers doesn't get you strange faces. Feels like the home bar away from home. Though . . . I don't know how drunk you'd want to get if you aren't used to mountain driving.

Not Pet Friendly * Owner is Arrogant * Run Down Dirty Restaurant We called ahead to see if they allowed dogs on the patio and they said yes, if the dog was on a leash. We showed up and there was a dog wondering around off leash, that proceeded to agitate and hump my dog, who was on a leash. When we asked if someone could put the unattended dog on a leash the owner came out, took his dog inside for a few minutes, then let his dog back outside unattended and without a leash. After asking him several times to leash his dog, he told us that he owns the place and can do whatever he wants. Instead of simply putting his dog on a leash until we left, he argued with us for 10 minutes until we asked him to just leave us alone so we could finish our meal and leave. Food wasn't that impressive either. Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and we will stop in Idaho Springs next time instead.

Took the family Saturday. Green chile is the best! Met the new owner....very nice guy! Service was nothing short of great. I miss the old Kermits name......the only thing that has changed is that it's cleaner big time. Love this place...the last of the true mountain bars.

  • Carol M.

Standard fair tamales with excellent green chile, though a tad on the milder side. Best sweet potato fries ever!!! Worst hamburger ever!!! The bun, drenched in what tasted like rancid oil, made for an inedible burger. Explained this to the waiter. We really wanted to love this place but when the waiter claimed that his burger tasted fine, didn't offer to cook up another menu item, or to take my burger off the bill, we decided it was a lost cause.

Stopped in for lunch on a dreary day at the location of the former Kermit's at the bottom of Floyd Hill. The place has had a nice interior remodel since the Kermit's days. Was expecting a dive bar experience and it was anything but...very clean. Austin was our server and bent over backwards explaining every dish we asked about. I settled on the Homewrecker and wife had the pull pork sandwich. The pork shoulder had been smoked for 12 hours and was melt in your mouth delicious. It was huge. Austin explained the origin of the homewrecker name but I'll leave that for you to discover on your own. It's a huge sausage with some heat, served on a hotdog bun with a strip of bacon and then smothered (and I mean smothered) with red and green chili. I turned down Austin's offer to also top it with sauteed onions and jalapeno's. We ordered the fries to accompany, even though Austin cautioned thst we'd be getting a lot of food. The homewrecker was more than I could put away in one setting. Delicious!! Made specially for the restaurant by a friend of the family. Come hungry. Nice selection of Colorado microbrews and great service. We will definitely be back for more.

This is an EASY 5 star rating. Best wing sauce I've ever tasted! These guys occupy a pretty traditional yet somewhat conspicuous spot where I70 meets HW 6 headed towards summit county. I've been going there since moving to Colorado in '97 when it used to be called Kermit's and was good then. Basically a divy biker type bar with a friendly atmosphere and awesome patio to hang out and down a few brewskies. The food is really the star of the show however which I found out the easy way. First of all if you love wings, I will go as far as to call these the top 5 I've ever had. They have different heat levels and I went with 2 (basic hot) and they were amazing, with small chunks of peppers mixed in and the perfect balance of spicy and tangy. Then came the burgers: perfectly mid-rare, dripping with melty cheese and flavorful juices, and don't forget to get the truffle fries...delicious!. Looking for a great spot to stop with a group along I70? look no further!

We had some pretty bad service. They were a little busy but not slammed. It took a long time just for us to get our drinks and when we did get them, they werent the correct drinks. When we finally got our food we were also missing our sides and one of our party's food order. The food was delicious, but it took a lot more time to get our sides and the last food order didnt come out until everyone else had finished. It probably would have helped if our waiter wrote our orders down instead of trying to remember everything for a larger group, but there was just no hustle to them at all. Not a lot of movement going on. It's a shame because the food was actually very decent, but i wont be stopping back in here ever again.

Had dinner on the way back from a day of skiing at Breck. Don't let the outside fool you, it is very nice, clean, and comfortable inside. Nice selection of Co brews on tap. Food is inexpensive and good. Sweet potato fries were top notch. As good if not better than any restaurant in Idaho Springs. We definitely will be stopping by again.

I've stopped by at the Tributary at 244 a couple of times on my way back from fishing in the mountains. The staff is very friendly and the wide selection of Colorado beer is a plus. The place is so much more welcoming and very clean compared to what it was before. The menu is really great and I have wonderful things to say about every item that I've tried - my favorites so far are the Trible B (Buffalo burger), the Elk link, and the Homewrecker. I should also mention that the chili is excellent. Looking forward to some live music on the patio!

This. Place. Is. Awesome. Stopped in on a whim, and left thinking this is a place we'd definitely come back to. Had The Bloody 14er, parm fries, and the avocado burger... All were fantastic! Our waitress was prompt, and courteous. If your in the area, this is definitely the place to visit!

Great food and beers right of I-70. Their green chili is a must order. Great burgers/wings and I was pleasantly surprised by the tamales. I try to stop off here anytime I'm in the area. Staff is super friendly and there's a great outside eating area. Chill relaxing place with great food.

I have 4 words for you: Maple. Bacon. Cream. Sauce. Now put that together. Maple bacon cream sauce. To dip your sweet potato tots in. OMG. Literally one of those things that incited a momentary bout of Terets from my grateful mouth. Not because it was too hot or too spicy... it was simply TOO DAMN GOOD. They have some great beers on tap too (I had the Morning Wood... haha.) And they've got live music here every so often too. Good people, great beer, and amazing food out in the middle of nowhere. What more can you ask for?

Just left and it was a terrible experience! And that's saying it mildly. First the guy at the door was rude and not helpful. We finally got a table and ordered. We were a group of 4 and we ordered the following: hamburger very rare and it was well done, Caesar salad with chicken and it had 3 small strips of chicken and not much dressing, a basket of fries that were cold, and quesadillas which were actually good. We had to beg for the check 4 times. The place was dirty, with a dog running between our feet! Restrooms smell bad.

THE best burgers hands down! This is our must stop on the way home from skiing for the most delicious hamburgers and green chili or for a breakfast burrito on your way up! Do yourself a favor and get off I-70 at exit 244.

Stopped by after it's been updated, for the first time. Its awesome! We had smoked spicy green chill which was amazing.

This place was great for a quick freshly prepared lunch, right off the highway. The sausage sampler unique and yummy. Waitress very nice. The only downside was it was a bit dusty eating outside because there is some type of road construction going on near by.

Cheers!!

I've been coming to this place for years. The food is really something now. I had the tamales and I don't think I've ever had better ones. I got one of each type and had them smothered. The green chili is killer. I can't wait to return to try the breakfast burrito.

I've grown up my whole life in the mountains and this is one of my favorite places to visit! It's right off I70 on the way to any mountain adventure. We stopped in and had our selves a feast last night. I ordered the green chili burger and my friends each got Gold Rush Burgers (bacon cheddar avocado, mmm) the food was amazing! I highly recommend the truffle fries they come out with fresh parmesan and white truffle oil. If you find yourself in here on a Sunday morning after a late night out order a bloody 14er your life will never be the same. If you've never had the green chili before its must! Can't wait to come back! Also the owner of the bar is very involved with all the customers, very nice guy.

TRY IT!!

The food was tasty but I would never revisit this place. Upon arrival we were told they were out of wings. A group of friends/co-workers arrived well after we ordered our food and the group got all of their food, including wings before we got our order. And we still waited another 20 minutes for a burger and cheese quesadilla.

I've been coming to this place for years. The food is really something now. I had the tamales and I don't think I've ever had better ones. I got one of each type and had them smothered. The green chili is killer. I can't wait to return to try the breakfast burrito.

Cheers.

Great food and beers right of I-70. Their green chili is a must order. Great burgers/wings and I was pleasantly surprised by the tamales. I try to stop off here anytime I'm in the area. Staff is super friendly and there's a great outside eating area. Chill relaxing place with great food.

This place was great for a quick freshly prepared lunch, right off the highway. The sausage sampler unique and yummy. Waitress very nice. The only downside was it was a bit dusty eating outside because there is some type of road construction going on near by.
